Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

At just two-weeks-old, tiny little "Jojo," the only surviving kitten from a litter of four, found shoved into a plastic bag and thrown into a dumpster at the Corrado's Supermarket on Berdan Ave. in Wayne, N.J. on April 1, still has a very loud meow reported Monday's

That meow, coming from the trash bin and heard by an employee, is what rescuers credit tiny Jojo's survival; the kittens were only two or three days old when found. Sadly, some culprit had tossed the live kittens away as if they were yesterday's trash.

Two of the kittens had already suffocated, and two were still barely breathing.

Only Kindness, Inc., a non profit, all volunteer dog and cat rescue, rushed the kittens to Pequannock Animal Hospital where emergency treatment was given; the other kitten died the next morning.

Jojo is the sole survivor; he has been bottle fed, and almost two weeks later is now actively surveying his foster environment looking for a bit of kitten mischief.

Note: Classifications and other fields should not be used to determine what specific charges the suspect is facing or was convicted of - they are for research and statistical purposes only. The case report and subsequent updates outline the specific charges.
