County: Montgomery

Disposition: Alleged

Abuser names unreleased

Police and animal advocates took five pit bulls from a Dayton home on Saturday.

Around 4 p.m., Dayton police were called to the 2400 block of Falmouth Avenue and upon arrival, officers contacted the Montgomery County Animal Resource Center.

"Conditions inside the home were filthy," ARC director Mark Kumpf said.

Kumpf said his agents removed the five dogs and they will be given medical evaluations.

"The dogs were chained in the basement and hallway," he said. "There was food and water in the house (but) none available for the dogs."

Kumpf said the pit bulls did not show aggression to the agents.
