Alleged: Linda Coker
A Grayson woman has been issued 16 citations for animal neglect.
According to the Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office, deputies were executing an eviction notice Monday at the home of Linda Coker at 1730 Bennett Road, where they observed a number of animals inside the home, which was described as "filthy with urine and feces."
More animals were found outside the residence, some entering the home freely through an open door and others locked in cages that were reportedly overgrown with weeds and foliage in the backyard.
A total of 15 dogs, one cat, one rabbit and a squirrel were determined to be living in unsanitary conditions without clean food and water. Animal control officers were dispatched to the scene and issued the citations for animal neglect.
