Alleged: Harold C. Enos
A West Bloomfield man was charged Monday by Ontario County sheriff's deputies with cruelty to animals and animal abandonment.
Deputies said Harold C. Enos, 77, of 2046 Factory Hollow Road, Lot 5, claimed to have a cat and kittens living under his residence.
He allegedly used a trap to capture the cat and transported it about 20 miles from his residence and released it, deputies said. Enos allegedly left the kittens to survive on their own.
He is scheduled to appear in West Bloomfield Town Court at a later date.
