County: IredellCharges: Misdemeanor
Disposition: Alleged
Alleged: Angie Funderburk
An Iredell County woman where 200 animals were seized last week has now been charged with cruelty.
Animal Services Director Chris Royal says Angie Funderburk of Mooresville has been cited with two counts of misdemeanor cruelty to animals.
Royal said 198 cats and three dogs were taken from Funderburk's 900-square-foot home Friday afternoon after an animal control officer went to investigate a complaint about the living conditions of the cats. Four more cats were found and removed Monday.
Fifty of the cats had to be euthanized.
It was not clear if Funderburk has an attorney.
