Defendant was working at local fast food restaurant. when he went to his vehicle (pickup) and was observed by witnesses striking and slamming a 2-3 month old puppy with his fist and against the seats of the truck. Defendant stated "he spanked the dog for peeing on his truck seat". Officers were notified and the defendant was arrested and the puppy was taken into protective custody at the local animal shelter.
