The Eagle County Sheriff's Office is looking into an apparent case of animal cruelty.

On Monday, the Eagle County Sheriff's Office was contacted by a Bureau of Animal Protection Agent for the Eagle Valley Humane Society. The agent received information regarding a dead puppy found on Forest Service Road 8380 in the Spring Creek area south of the Eagle County Regional Airport near Gypsum. The puppy was approximately 3 and 6 months of age at the time of death, which was apparently caused by animal cruelty, police said.

If your tip leads to the arrest and indictment of any suspect involved, you could earn up to a $1,000 reward from the Crime Stoppers. .
