Charges: Felony CTA Disposition: Alleged
Alleged: Dustin S. White
A dispute left two dogs dead, one seriously wounded and a Caroline man facing three charges of animal cruelty, according to the New York State Police.
Dustin S. White, 22, was charged with three counts of felony aggravated cruelty to animals. He was accused of running over the three dogs with his vehicle following a dispute with a female acquaintance Sunday afternoon in Caroline.
The dogs' owner is a relative of someone White knows, according to police, who would not elaborate on the situation.
The 7-week old dogs, all huskies, came from the same litter, according to humane officer Joe Hoffer of the Tompkins County SPCA.
The SPCA received the injured dog after first being treated at the Cornell University Veterinary Hospital. The dog suffered fractured ribs, a broken rear leg and other fractures, Hoffer said. The prognosis remained uncertain for the husky as of Tuesday evening. The SPCA's foster care unit is caring for the unnamed dog.
White was issued an appearance ticket April 2 for Town of Caroline Court. References« NY State Animal Cruelty Map « More cases in Tompkins County, NY
