A cat was brutally beaten, then left in a plastic bag to die in Montgomery County. 17-year- old Allen Florian and 16-year-old Derek Hazzard are now under arrest.

Police say the teens continuously beat a cat with broom sticks, a two-by-four, and a sledge hammer. Then police say, as the cat was clinging to life, the boys put the beaten animal in a plastic bag, and left it in a field here on Youngs Road in Minden, across the street from one of the suspect's homes.

The cat died from its injuries. Both teens were arraigned and sent to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility.
