Two teenage men were arrested on suspicion of cruelty to animals Monday east of Orosi, the Tulare County Sheriff's Department reported.

Deputies were dispatched at about 4:40 p.m. to Boyds Drive and Avenue 416 after receiving reports of subjects shooting at animals from a moving vehicle.

A traffic stop was conducted after the vehicle was located and deputies found a firearm and a dead wild animal in the vehicle.

Salvador Cortez, 18, and Ruben Rodriguez, 19, did not have hunting licenses and were arrested.

The case is under investigation.
