more information on voting
When you vote, you are voting on whether or not the punishment fit the crime, NOT on the severity of the case itself. If you feel the sentence was very weak, you would vote 1 star. If you feel the sentence was very strong, you would vote 5 stars.
Please vote honestly and realistically. These ratings will be used a a tool for many future programs, including a "Peoples Choice" of best and worst sentencing, DA and judge "report cards", and more. Try to resist the temptation to vote 1 star on every case, even if you feel that 100 years in prison isnt enough.

Hoarding - 228 animals Saginaw, MI (US)Incident Date: Saturday, Oct 26, 2002 County: Saginaw
Disposition: Convicted
Defendants/Suspects: » Jacqueline K. Wolfe » Kimberly Wolfe
In October 2002, Animal Care officials spent eight plus hours removing 228 sick and malnourished animals from the Wolfes' property. Many, too sick to treat. 159 cats were destroyed on the scene.
Jacqueline K. Wolfe, 56, and Kimberly A. Wolfe, 36, of Freemont Township, learned Tuesday December 16, 2003 in District Court that they will spend the next two years on probation for five misdemeanor charges of animal cruelty.
Each of the women is to pay $1,075 in fees and fines and they are to pay restitution. Authorities have not yet determined the reimbursement amount the County Animal Care Center should get, although it is estimated that caring for the Wolfes' animals has cost the county more than $40,000.
They were further instructed if they didn't follow the terms of probation, which included limiting them to owning only two animals each -- the maximum Fremont Township allows -- they could go to jail.
