Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

Police are searching for the person who shot an arrow in a cat's head in Indiana County.

Rain, the cat, just got back from the vet and is recovering.

Owner Melissa Schrack of Blacklick spoke with Channel 11 on Friday.

"The arrow went almost all the way across. She was lucky it didn't hit anything," said Schrack.

Rain had been missing for two days before she was found getting food with the injury.

"I was heartbroken and mad," said Schrack.

Schrack rushed Rain to the vet. She's getting better but didn't eat for a few days and lost weight.

"I hope whoever did this gets caught. Police said they would have to pay the vet bills and would be charged with animal cruelty," Schrack said.

The vet bills were about $1,400.

Rain goes back to the vet in a couple of days. Schrack will then find out if permanent damage was done.
