Two teens are in jail and waiting a court appearance, and they are accused of killing a horse and shooting another. Rodger Dale Pitts III, 18, of Clermont, and Jared Blake Dillin, 18, of Gainesville, were both charged with two counts of cruelty to animals, two counts of second-degree criminal damage to property and shooting a gun from the road.
The two were arrested Saturday after they allegedly shot a mare between the eyes. At about the same time, at a neigboring farm, they also allegedly shot a stallion. Authorities are not certain which shooting occurred first.
What led to these arrests of these two individuals was that the victims and witnesses both cooperated together with the police. References | Gainesville Times |
