Two Larose men are accused of fighting roosters in the backyard of a home, police said.

Anh Tran, 40, 214 W. 40th St., and Duoc Tran, 40, 212 W. 40th St., were cited after Lafourche Sheriff's deputies allegedly saw the two men fighting roosters in the backyard of a home located at 125 W. 9th St.

The two tried to stop the fight when they spotted the deputies, authorities said. The roosters were taken to Thibodaux Animal Hospital.
