Albert Aguire was sentenced to three years probation, 30 hours of public work service and eight hours of anger-management classes after pleading guilty to misdemeanor animal cruelty in connection with the death of his girlfriend's kitten. Prosecutors had alleged that  Aguire wrung the kitten's neck and threw it out the door. When his girlfriend went to get it, the kitten convulsed, and later died.
