A cat is recovering from burns after someone set her ears and body on fire.

The Washington Humane Society found the cat on the 4000 block of Meade Street, NE, Wednesday.

The cat is being treated at a local animal hospital.

The Humane Society is offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for the animal cruelty.
