Alleged: Ricky Martin, Sr.
A Moneta man arrested last month on a charge of aggravated sexual battery of a child now faces five charges relating to child pornography.
Ricky Martin Sr., of Joppa Mill Road, was arrested on Dec. 23. on the sexual battery charge, according to a Bedford County Sheriff's Office news release.
After his arrest, investigators from the Southern Virginia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant on Martin's house.
Investigators seized computers, DVDs, photographs and other media, some of which contained sexually explicit images of children. Authorities said some of the media contained sexually explicit images of minors, bestiality and sadomasochist behavior.
The investigation led to North Carolina, where investigators are still working leads and searching for additional victims and suspects.
In addition to the sexual battery charge, Martin is charged with one count of production of child pornography and four counts of second subsequent production of child pornography.
He is held in the Blue Ridge Regional Jail without bond.
Authorities expect to make additional arrests.
