Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

Deputy Clint Pierce said Friday the horses were found by Portland General Electric workers on Wednesday in a PGE-owned wooded area near the Mount Hood National Forest. The animals had been seen wandering along State Highway 224 earlier in the day.

The horses are malnourished and appear to have been neglected for a considerable amount of time.

Clackamas County Sheriff deputies were able to capture the animals but are looking for help from the public in identifying the two horses and information about where they may have come from.

One of the horses is a chestnut mare with two rear white socks and a white stripe on the face. She also has a blue left eye.

The other horse is a younger red chestnut gelding with a white stripe on the face.

The horses are currently receiving health care and are in a temporary home with a local animal rescuer until they can be adopted into a permanent home.
