Two dogs shot, one dead, during home invasion
Raleigh, NC (US)

Incident Date: Friday, Oct 1, 2010
County: Wake

Charges: Felony CTA
Disposition: Alleged

Alleged: Cody Daniel Pullen

An 18-year-old Raleigh man charged with shooting at motorists in Garner faces additional charges of shooting two dogs and breaking into a home to steal firearms.

Cody Daniel Pullen, of 1111 Consortium Drive, was charged Friday with two counts of felony animal cruelty and one count each of breaking-and-entering and larceny of a firearm.

He was arrested early Thursday on three counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and six counts of possession of a stolen firearm. He was being held in the Wake County jail under a $580,000 secured bond.

Arrest warrants state that Pullen broke into a Willow Spring home Wednesday and stole firearms.

Later that day, Garner police believe, he shot two dogs belonging to a homeless man and shot at two occupied vehicles around Garner Station and Junction boulevards.

One dog died, and a man and woman suffered minor injuries. The wounded dog was taken to North Carolina State University's veterinary hospital.

Shortly after the shooting, officers stopped a truck driven by Pullen and arrested him. Officers said they found six stolen firearms in his truck.
