Dog shot with arrows
Berlin, MD (US)

Incident Date: Saturday, Oct 2, 2010
County: Worcester

Disposition: Open

Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

Police are looking for suspects in connection to a report of a 2-year-old Chocolate lab "Shiloh" being shot with two arrows.

The complainants also advised that an 8-year-old dachshund mix did not return home.

The two dogs frequently play in the fields across the street from the owner's residence on Nine Pin Branch Road.

Shiloh returned home alone early Saturday morning with obvious signs of trauma, including two impact wounds: one below the left eye and through the nasal cavity and another on the right shoulder blade.

The owners fear that a hunter shot the dogs and the dachshund/cocker spaniel mix “Weenie” did not survive the incident. The fields have been searched with negative results. A Veterinarian in Pocomoke has diagnosed the Chocolate Lab to be most likely shot twice with arrows used for hunting deer.

At this time police are looking for information about a white male driving a white F-250 Ford turbo diesel with a dark green 4-wheeler in the bed.

Anyone with information is asked to contact MSP Barrack "V" in Berlin at 410-641-3101. Callers are asked to provide case number 10-96-006507.
