An argument between a grandmother and her 15 year old grandson results in an arrest on charges of animal cruelty.

The arrest was made yesterday in the 1500 block of Santa Maria after police found a dead dog in the yard of a home.

According to authorities, the grandmother was arguing with her grandson after he refused to get rid of the dead animal.

Police arrested the teenager when they later found the dog had been tied up with a cable and likely died from lack of food or water.

The 15 year old has a past history with police including an arrest on theft charges.
