A DeLand woman has been charged with animal cruelty after police say she let her dog starve to death.

DeLand police say 23-year old Kimberly Holdburg moved out of her apartment and left her terrier mix locked inside.

Animal control officers say she told them she just didn't have time for the dog. She has been charged with felony animal cruelty.
