A puppy survived a dangerous journey on a flight from Mexico City inside a cargo bay on board an aircraft bound for JFK. The drop in temperature and the stress of flying can be daunting to even the toughest traveler.
On January 23, 2010, Customs and Border Protection officers received a call regarding two puppies that appeared to be dead in a cargo bay at JFK.
Three officers quickly responded to find one puppy dead and another clinging for life.
The puppy was cold and clinging to life. The officers quickly intervened administering first aid and quickly warming the puppy. The resilient puppy was revived and pulled through.
The veterinarian that evaluated and treated the puppy said the dog is playful and doing well.
