Animal cruelty charges against prominent South Australian graziers Thomas and Patricia Brinkworth have been dropped.
The Brinkworths were facing 61 charges of ill treat an animal, and three of their staff had also been charged with the same offences.
Staffers James Parham faced 30 counts, Russell Parham five counts and Mark Alexander Whitehead eight counts.
In the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Friday, lawyers for the RSPCA tendered no evidence on all charges.
"The charge is not proven, the defendants are found not guilty and the complaint is dismissed," Magistrate Gregory Fisher said.
The dropped charges related to alleged starvation and suffering of cattle at 10 properties in SA's south-east. References |
