Police are searching for clues in the possible poisoning deaths of three dogs in Alhambra.

Police say the pets' owner found the animals motionless and meat covered with white powder nearby in his fenced yard early Monday morning.

No other dogs in the neighborhood were harmed. Investigators believe the three dogs might have been targeted.

They will test the meat to determine if it was contaminated with suspected poison.
