A $5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible for animal cruelty in Acushnet.

A cat named Cali was killed after being hit with a hunting arrow last weekend. The arrow traveled through the length of his body.

Cali underwent surgery but did not survive.

His owner is trying to find out who did this to her cat.

Police have taken the arrow as evidence and continue to investigate the incident.
