Moore of 44R Scenic Drive, abandoned her two children, ages 14 and 16, a nursing mother cat and her 4 kittens and a 45-pound domesticated Asian leopard.

The son reported to us that he let the leopard go outside because he didn't want anyone taking the cat valued at $1000 away.

The Derry police department was notified of the free rooming leopard. The nursing cat and her kittens were taken to Derry Animal Hospital and released to Merrimack River Feline Rescue. The cat and her 4 kittens are now in foster care and will be adopted as soon as the kittens are 8 weeks old.

It is unknown as to why Moore left. The children are now in the custody of a next door neighbor and the grandparents.

No charges have been filed against Moore as the case is still under investigation.
