Animals seized from neglect
Columbus, OH (US)

Incident Date: Friday, Mar 20, 2009
County: Franklin

Disposition: Failed to Appear

Person of Interest: Theresa Miller

Authorities on Monday appealed to the public for help in apprehending a woman who faces nearly a dozen counts of animal cruelty and abandonment.

In March, humane society agents found several animals abandoned behind Theresa Miller's west side home, CrimeTracker 10's Angela An reported.

Among the animals recovered were a puppy, a cat in cage with little food or water and three lizards.

Two turtles that were left in an aquarium died from the cold.

Assistant City Prosecutor Bill Hedrick said Miller has failed to appear in court for charges related to the case.

A warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Anyone with information on Miller's whereabouts was asked to contact the Capital Area Humane Society at 614-777-7387.
