more information on voting
When you vote, you are voting on whether or not the punishment fit the crime, NOT on the severity of the case itself. If you feel the sentence was very weak, you would vote 1 star. If you feel the sentence was very strong, you would vote 5 stars.
Please vote honestly and realistically. These ratings will be used a a tool for many future programs, including a "Peoples Choice" of best and worst sentencing, DA and judge "report cards", and more. Try to resist the temptation to vote 1 star on every case, even if you feel that 100 years in prison isnt enough.

Charges: Misdemeanor Disposition: Convicted
Defendant/Suspect: Christopher Cromer
A 33-year-old borough man pleaded guilty to an animal cruelty charge in municipal court this morning, officials said.
Municipal Court Judge Mark T. Apostolou ordered Christopher Cromer to pay a $500 fine for failing to provide shelter for his Stafford terrier mix earlier this year, said Victor "Buddy" Amato, the chief of the Monmouth County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
On April 12, Cromer left the dog on the roof balcony when the temperature outside was about 29 degrees, said Amato.
Police and Amato were called to the home, and when Cromer returned, he was forced to bring the animal inside. References« NJ State Animal Cruelty Map « More cases in Monmouth County, NJ
