An Animal Services officer responded to a report of a dog abandoned at a house whose occupants had recently moved. The officer found a female husky mix tied to a tree on a short chain and without food or water. The animal was taken to the Montgomery County Animal Shelter, where it was to be held for six days and then be made available for adoption. An investigation was continuing.
