A Greenough woman will face animal cruelty charges in court next month relating to the alleged mistreatment of seven horses and a goose.
The RSPCA has charged the woman with five counts of animal cruelty after an inspection of her property in March.
On arrival, RSPCA inspectors found several animals whose welfare gave cause for concern and they seized seven horses and one goose.
The RSPCA will allege that for a period of months leading up to 29 June this year, the accused did not provide the animals with proper and sufficient food, confined an animal in a manner that caused or was likely to cause unnecessary harm and that the animals suffered harm which could have been alleviated.
The woman is due to appear in Geraldton Magistrate's Court on August 20. References |
