Cat shot with .22, resulting in death

A cat that was shot sometime Friday had to be euthanized, according to Bremerton police reports.

A 48-year-old Bremerton woman said she arrived to her home on the 2000 block of East 15th Street late Friday and found her 3-year-old tabby, "crying and bleeding" from a wound to the shoulder. Police found a .22-caliber bullet they determined shot the animal.

The woman took the animal to the vet, where it had to be euthanized, police said.

Police have not found any suspects in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
