more information on voting
When you vote, you are voting on whether or not the punishment fit the crime, NOT on the severity of the case itself. If you feel the sentence was very weak, you would vote 1 star. If you feel the sentence was very strong, you would vote 5 stars.
Please vote honestly and realistically. These ratings will be used a a tool for many future programs, including a "Peoples Choice" of best and worst sentencing, DA and judge "report cards", and more. Try to resist the temptation to vote 1 star on every case, even if you feel that 100 years in prison isnt enough.

A man drinking in his own home shoots and kills his own dog for no apparent reason. That's what investigators are saying happened at a home in the 400 block of West Coffren in Greenville Sunday evening.
Just before 6:00 p.m., police were called to the area for reports of shots fired. Inside the house, police found 44 year old Donald Edward Williams with a .22 calibur rifle and alcohol in his possession.
They also found "Mack", Williams' 7 year old beagle, with gunshot wounds to his muzzle below his right eye. Animal Control was called in to assist, but they were forced to put Mack down because of his injuries.
Williams is facing multiple charges in the case, including felony charges of killing or torturing an animal. There's also misdemeanor charges of reckless use of a firearm, and possession of a firearm while under the influence of alcohol.
He faces up to four years in prison if convicted in the case.
