Wenatchee Valley Humane Society officials continue to follow up on tips regarding an animal cruelty case that took place late last month.
Humane Society officials say on May 30th a man was seen dumping a heavy black plastic bag down a bank and into a stream near the 33 hundred block of Number one canyon. It was later learned the bag contained a seriously injured dog that was still alive and trying to claw its way out of the bag. Because of the dog's injuries, officials had to euthanize the animal.
A missing animal report was filed on the same day the dog was dumped into the stream. The owner of the 12 year old dog, a Wenatchee man, has identified the animal. The man is not a suspect. Anyone with information on who might be responsible is asked to call the Humane Society at 662-9577. If you have information on this case, please contact: Wenatchee Valley Humane Society 662-9577
