Injured dog stuffed in plastic bag, dumped
Wenatchee, WA (US)

Incident Date: Saturday, May 30, 2009
County: Chelan

Disposition: Open

Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

Wenatchee Valley Humane Society officials continue to follow up on tips regarding an animal cruelty case that took place late last month.

Humane Society officials say on May 30th a man was seen dumping a heavy black plastic bag down a bank and into a stream near the 33 hundred block of Number one canyon. It was later learned the bag contained a seriously injured dog that was still alive and trying to claw its way out of the bag. Because of the dog's injuries, officials had to euthanize the animal.

A missing animal report was filed on the same day the dog was dumped into the stream. The owner of the 12 year old dog, a Wenatchee man, has identified the animal. The man is not a suspect. Anyone with information on who might be responsible is asked to call the Humane Society at 662-9577.

Note: Classifications and other fields should not be used to determine what specific charges the suspect is facing or was convicted of - they are for research and statistical purposes only. The case report and subsequent updates outline the specific charges. Charges referenced in the original case report may be modified throughout the course of the investigation or trial, so case updates, when available, should always be considered the most accurate reflection of charges.
