Animal rights group PETA is offering a $2,500 reward in a local case. Seneca County sheriff's officials report that the corpses of numerous animals--including deer and a fawn, boars and a piglet, cats, and others whose bodies had been bloodied, skinned, and beheaded and whose bones were broken--were found along a walking path near Bloomville by a concerned citizen on March 21.
Sheriff's office officials visited the property and took photos of the corpses. Authorities are investigating, but they have yet to make any arrests in connection with the killings.
