A Sevier County man was arrested for animal cruelty, according to authorities.
The Sevier County Animal Control responded to a complaint of neglected animals at a home on Chapman Highway. Animal control officer Phil King found two malnourished Great Danes that were in need of medical care. King took the animals to the Sevier County Humane Society Shelter where they were treated.
The owner, 50-year-old Roland Windom, surrendered the dogs to the animal shelter, where they will be housed.
