Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!
The Louisiana Humane Society is investigating the poisoning deaths of three dogs all on the same street in Eunice.
Families have been told that their dogs died of anti-freeze poisoning.
It all happened on North Fifth Street at the beginning of February. Connie Sanders lost two of her dogs, an 8-year-old Dachshund named 'Jack,' and a 4 month old mixed breed named 'Puppy.' Sanders says that recently a stray dog had been roaming the neighborhood, and believes someone set the poison deliberately.
"....I think that's what happened, someone put out the poison for the stray dog but the good dogs are the ones that ate the poison," said Sanders.
The Humane Society confirmed to KATC's Jim Hummel that shortly after the deaths, a chicken carcass, soaked in anti-freeze was found in the area.
Police are investigating, but so far no arrests have been made. The Humane Society is offering a $1,000.00 reward to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and conviction of those responsible. The number to call is 1-888-66-HUMANE. If you have information on this case, please contact: Louisiana Humane Society 1-888-66-HUMANE
