There's another case today of an injured kitten...this time it comes out of Bryants Cove. The president of Heavenly Creatures, Jessica Rendell, says they received a call over the weekend of a group of strays in the area... including one kitten whose eye was hanging out of its socket. Rendell says unfortunately the kitten passed away.
Rendell says they had hoped to save her but all they could do was end her suffering.
Rendell says they've seen 6 cases of this type of abuse in the past 10 months, but says in some cases, it could be a severe case of cat flu. She says however in this case, the vet ruled out the flu.
She says who or what caused the trauma is impossible to say. She says this has to stop. She would like to see tougher laws. References
