Animal control agents have seized 25 pitbulls and 11 cats from an animal rescuer's home in north jersey.
The Passaic County chapter of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals alleges Marion Puccio kept many of the animals in wire cages surrounded by urine and feces.
The West Milford resident faces 32 counts of animal cruelty. $1,000 in fines and up to six months in jail.
Puccio has said she bought many of the dogs from drug dealers, who used the animals for dogfighting.
