Incident Date: Friday, Jan 30, 2009
County: Gaston

Alleged: Sherri Lynette Cooper

A woman faces animal cruelty charges after she allegedly moved away and left a dog chained outside her former home without food and water.

Sherri Lynette Cooper, 38, is accused of leaving a male German shepherd mix outside her former home on the 500 block of East Robinson Street, Dallas. She didn't leave food or water for the dog and did not return for it after moving away, according to arrest warrants and affidavits.
