Police say a dog was fatally shot during a New Year's Eve robbery in Bend.

Bend police say one of the men who entered a home during the robbery attempt fired a shot that traveled through the glass portion of a doorway before striking the dog and a grazing the shoe of the robbery victim.

Responding police arrested 20-year-old Cody Capasso and 18-year-old Joshua Capasso, both of Bend, as they walked down a road. Both were charged with multiple crimes and taken to the Deschutes County Jail.

Police later arrested a third suspect, a 16-year-old Bend girl. She was lodged at the juvenile detention center on robbery charges.
