Possession of animals in violation of probation
Nashville, TN (US)

Incident Date: Thursday, Nov 27, 2008
County: Davidson

Disposition: Alleged

Alleged: Carolyn Bauer

A woman accused of hoarding animals may lose all of her pets. Carolyn Bauer is accused of violating a court order prohibiting her from having more than five dogs at her east Nashville home. Her court hearing was scheduled for 1 p.m. Wednesday.

That order was issued in August when more than 64 dogs, cats and birds were taken from her home. Animal Control officials said many of them had been neglected.

During a surprise inspection last month, Animal Control discovered six dogs and a cat at the home.

The animals could be seized unless Bauer makes some other arrangement with the city.
