Sick puppies thrown out in trash Phoenix, AZ (US)Incident Date: Saturday, Nov 29, 2008 County: Maricopa
Disposition: Alleged
Alleged: Stacy Davis
A Maricopa County employee is facing charges of animal cruelty after allegedly dumping two pug puppies in the trash.
Investigators said Stacy Davis put the puppies in a trash can near Campbell Avenue and 113th Drive because they had parvo, an extremely contagious disease in dogs.
A woman who found the puppies -- still alive -- called the police.
Police paperwork shows that several other adult pugs were found at Davis' house. Those five dogs reportedly were sick, believed to be suffering from parvo.
Davis, who was arrested and booked on animal cruelty and neglect charges over the weekend, is a supervisor in the Maricopa County Courts Department. References |
