Two dogs poisoned - meat tainted with rat poison
Simpsonville, SC (US)

Incident Date: Saturday, Nov 8, 2008
County: Greenville

Disposition: Open

Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

A Simpsonville family says someone tried to kill their pets, and they may not be the only victims.

Aaron and Sackra Silver said two of their dogs got very sick. When they took them to the vet, they were told someone fed the dogs raw meat loaded with rat poison. The Silver family said they don't keep poison in their house so they think someone threw the poisoned meat into their back yard.

Buffy Silver said, "They're my babies. It was really upsetting to me to hear that someone tried to kill my dogs."

The dogs are expected to make a full recovery.

News 4 was told that another family's dogs were also fed poison in the Woodruff Lake Community.

The Greenville County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
