A couple from Lyndonville didn't keep two horses fed, according to the Humane Society of Greater Rochester.

31-year-old Norman McDonald and 30-year-old Denise McDonals are both charged with animal cruelty. Lollypop Farm investigators said they found two severely emaciated horses at their property on Platten Road. They were tipped off by a call to the Lollypop's anonymous animal cruelty hotline, at (585) 223-6500.

The McDonalds are scheduled to appear in Town of Yates court on November 12th. If convicted, they could spend up to one year in jail.

The horses are expected to recover.
