Investigators at the Humane Society took five horses from a farm in Hamlin. Animal cruelty charges are pending against the horses' owner Recaldo Blanchard. 

Investigators found stalls overflowing with feces. Three of the horses had contaminated water while two of them had none at all. Investigators say all the horses are in bad shape. "I've got two that are very bad a 1.25 and a 1.5 on the Henneke scale with a 5 being good health. The two younger horses are better, a 2 and 3 respectively. The mother we are most concerned about the mare is pregnant and may have difficulty with giving birth," said Richard Gerbasi, Lollypop Farm Vice President of Operations.
