A cat was kicked so hard in the head her left eye was knocked from its socket. Her jaw is broken in several places.

"We want to get this person, we want jail time to come to this person," says Dr. Bob Bauml.

The 1 year-old Himalayan, Molly, was found hiding underneath a car at the Audubon Apartment Complex off Nagogdoches over the weekend. She was in terrible shape. Her left eye almost severed and she wouldn't stop bleeding from her mouth.

"She came in with her left eye completely popped out, and then she had a broken jaw, at the bottom, then the roof of her mouth, a couple of inches wide," says Dr. Bauml. Vets were unable to save her left eye and had to wire her jaw shut. You can clearly see how swollen her face is. She is being fed through a tube.

"The next 72-hours will be the most critical in terms of recovery," says Dr. Bauml.

Veterinarians say from her injuries, it was obvious she wasn't hit by a car. Neighbors believe she was kicked in the head by a teenager. Teresa Overby with Wags to Whiskers, an animal rescue group, says she'll do everything she can to find out who hurt Molly.

"We're also hoping to have some kind-hearted person who'll want to take her and give her a good home," says Teresa.

Overby has had no luck finding Molly's owner. She hopes someone out there can take good care of her when she gets better.
