Dog stabbed, resulting in death San Antonio, TX (US)Incident Date: Friday, Oct 3, 2008 County: Bexar
Disposition: Open
Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!
Foster, believed to be a 10-year-old Golden Retriever, was found Friday morning lying in the street near Foster Road and Houston Street and suffering from four deep knife wounds on his left side. The Animal Defense League did everything they could to save his life, but Foster's injuries were too severe, and he was euthanized on Monday.
It's hard to imagine why anyone would do this to an animal, especially one that ADL says was docile and appeared to be someone's pet.
"We are angry and saddened by this loss," ADL Executive Director Ron Aaron said in a press release. "Abuse against animals is not acceptable, and yet we are seeing an increase of violence against animals all across our community."
ADL is offering a $3,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who attacked Foster. Anyone with information about Foster is encouraged to call (210) 655-1481 ext. 111.
"We will protect your identity," Aaron promised. "We just want to find justice for Foster." If you have information on this case, please contact: Animal Defense League 210-655-1481 xt 111
