Dogs found neglected, chained
Boston, GA (US)

Incident Date: Wednesday, Oct 8, 2008
County: Thomas

Disposition: Alleged

Alleged: Anthony Bell

Wednesday afternoon, Thomas County Sheriff's Deputies along with animal control officers were alerted to a case of possible animal abuse at 952 Martin Road in Boston.

That's where officers found four badly deprived pit bulls chained up in the yard of 23-year old Anthony Bell.

Humane Society officials say the dogs were lacking food and were infested with heart worms, intestinal parasites and ringworm.

Anthony Bell was arrested and charged with Animal Cruelty.

Humane society officials say if the dogs were not found, they could have died within a month due to lack of medical treatment.
