On Aug. 3, 2007, a Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigations special agent purchased cocaine at Boettcher-Langkabel's home in the town of Metomen.

An informant told the agent that Boettcher-Langkabel had traveled to Mexico to attend cockfighting events.
